Family
Centre
Great News!
We have purchased a beautiful place to develop our family centre. After searching
for over 18 months, finally we found a place that we could buy. It was sold at
auction and we were the winning bid! We are now busy processing all of the legalities
and looking forward to the full completion.
There will be lots to do but it is all very exciting and teams will be visiting
soon who can help us.
All we can say is,'watch this space'!

Masha
It was a great shock to us all when we heard that Masha, our secretary & translator
in Belarus, had been knocked down by a car. She was on a Zebra crossing with
a
green light but the driver didn't see her and he says that he fell asleep!
Masha was badly injured with, a broken shoulder, broken pelvis, damaged knee
and a serious knock on her head. Fortunately, her brain was not been damaged.
It has been a very difficult time for her but she has bravely faced the circumstances.
Gradually, her injuries are healing and she was very encouraged when the doctors
said that the plaster will be removed earlier than expected. Many people experiencing
such a trauma, would be negative and even depressed but Masha has just been incredible.
She has been more concerned for others, than for herself. We hope that she will
make a full recovery soon.

Visitors
Team visits are a key role in developing the vision and they are also a great
encouragement.
One
of the foster mothers said, that she is amazed
when
people
give their
time
to visit her family because it means so much to them all.
Last year there were 12 visitors but already over 28 people have booked in for
this year. One group in Gloucester are even planning their teams for
2011! Their first team for this year were over in April and they helped to
renovate
a
home,
that
will
provide
places for more orphan children. They also visited other families
and arranged activities for the children. It was a very challenging time for
them all but also, very rewarding. The good news is that most people want to
return and get more involved.

UK
Visit
Andrew & Avril recently returned to the UK for a flying visit that included:
Wales; N.Ireland; Gloucester; Bristol; Torquay; Leicester & Norfolk!
They were very encouraged by the growing level of support and enthusiasm of people
to help. It was a very busy time for them but it is always good to meet people
and to share the stories personally. Some were even moved to tears, as they listened.
Together we are helping to give orphan children a better future.

Meet
the children
It's really great to see the change that takes place when an orphan child moves
into a loving family home. Their whole outlook on life changes and you can see
it in their faces. It's especially encouraging when you realize what many of
them have gone through and why they have become orphans or social orphans.
